Adobe has announced Creative Cloud Express, new tools available on web and mobile that provide basic versions of Adobe's image and video editing tools, some of which that were previously available in Adobe Spark.
Adobe describes Creative Cloud Express as a 'quick and easy web and mobile app that's perfect for a tattoo artist sharing his latest design, a clothing designer advertising her latest pop-up, a student creating an interactive history report, a real estate agent marketing his newest listing, or an aspiring musician posting about her upcoming performance. '
Creative Cloud Express looks to build upon Adobe's existing applications, like Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro, and deliver users some of that power in just a few clicks without any learning curve. Creative Cloud Express includes thousands of templates and access to millions of images from Adobe Stock (with a paid subscription) to let users quickly – and easily – build something that looks good.
With Creative Cloud Express, Adobe continues to leverage the web as a platform. In October, Adobe updated Photoshop on the web, adding light editing and full-fledged collaboration. Adobe writes, 'The web is rapidly becoming a powerful platform for creativity and Creative Cloud Express takes full advantage to make the act of expression available anywhere, anytime and to facilitate easy collaboration. '
Using Quick Actions, you can perform some common tasks with a single click in Creative Cloud Express, including removing the background from an image or trimming a video. Following Adobe's upcoming acquisition of ContentCal, Adobe looks forward to integrating social media scheduling and management to Creative Cloud Express down the road.
Creative Cloud Express is free to use and is available now at express. adobe. com, the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft stores. Free users get access to up to 1 million images and other assets, thousands of templates and dozens of fonts. Premium features, including more than 175 million Adobe Stock photos, 20,000 fonts and access to additional apps like Photoshop Express and Premiere Rush, can be unlocked for $9. 99 per month or $99 per year. Creative Cloud Express is also included with existing Creative Cloud Single App plans ($20. 99 per month) and the Creative Cloud All Apps plan, but seemingly it isn't included with the Photography Plan, which is itself $9. 99 per month.
