They say that it is up to every man to kill the thing he loves, and for our team that was no exception. In a new video we’ve utterly tortured our tiny little Mavic, to test just how much punishment it could take and still function.
Over a relatively short time our team has fallen in love with DJI’s Mavic drone but we always knew that in the spirit of DigitalRev, it would have to run the gauntlet at some point. Over the course of two days Warren and Ian pummeled the drone with blunt objects, roasted it on a barbeque, and drenched it in a deluge of water jets.
Individually, any of these warranty-voiding actions could render a sensitive piece of tech completely kaput. So it’s a marvel to watch Mavic make its way to the end of our challenges, limping as may be. To find out how it fared you’ll simply have to watch!
A word of warning: please do keep in mind that we are professional kit destroyers and remember not to try this type of mayhem at home. Though what kind of sadomasochist would you have to be to do so? Oh yeah – Warren.
