"It's quite powerful to be at a former campsite and realize the enormity of what was done," says photographer Stan Honda about the injustices done to Japanese Americans during the internment of 1942.

A third-generation Japanese American himself, he grew up listening to stories about the experiences in the camp that his parents went through. Deciding to raise awareness about this poignant era of American history, he began a documentary project in 1994 called Moving Walls. .
