Is an 8K EOS-1D C Replacement Coming? [CR1]

With the recent discount on the C-Log, 4K equipped Canon EOS-1D C DSLR, there has been a lot of chatter about a possible replacement. The latest is that we’ll see an EOS-1D C Mark II in 2017 and it’ll be capable of shooting 8K.
