The rumormill has gone quiet for the moment, though we expect it to pick up ahead of CPS next month. Below is what we believe we know is coming in 2017, and we expect there are going to be other products as well.
It’s definitely not as exciting as the upcoming EF 85mm f/1. 4L IS USM, but Canon will be introducing a new EF-S 18-55mm f/3. 5-5. 6 IS STM kit lens with the upcoming EOS Rebel cameras. This will be the first lens introduced in 2017.
We’re told that the next DSLR(s) from Canon will be replacement for the EOS Rebel T6s and EOS Rebel T6i. There is currently no information or apparent plans for a direct replacement for the EOS Rebel Sl1.
