A group of 647 photography students and professionals have together signed a letter demanding Magnum Photos actively participate in addressing sexual harassment in the industry, namely with regards to accusations made against its photographer David Alan Harvey.
Celebrity photographer Marcus Hyde—whose CV includes clients such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Ariana Grande—is being accused of bribing a model to send him nude photos, a claim that inspired other models to share more serious accusations of sexual harassment and even assault.
In light of another prominent figure in the photography industry being accused of sexual misconduct, I feel compelled to pen my feelings about it all, specifically what it has done to MY profession of choice; photojournalism.
