Manfrotto has announced its new Top Lock Travel Quick Release Adapter, a new quick-access mounting solution. The new Top Lock Travel Quick Release Adapter works with Manfrotto's 494, 496 and 498 ball heads from its Befree range in addition to all Arca-type camera plates.
When used with the aforementioned Befree tripods, it's designed so the legs of the tripods can be folded up and around the head for more compact travel.
Manfrotto says the Top Lock Travel Quick Release Adapter comes with a hex key that's used to replace the RC2 plate that comes standard on its tripod systems. It's available to pre-order at B&H for $39. 99.
