Microsoft’s New Paint 3D Is Now Available to Download

Although the announcement was somewhat overshadowed by the reaction to Microsoft’s breathtaking new desktop offering, the Surface Studio, the company also announced that Paint 3D would be made available as a free download for Windows 10.

The new app brings new 3D capabilities and is designed to be user-friendly, aiming to make 3D creation simple and accessible for all. Photos and other images can be manipulated and turned into simple 3D objects, or 2D elements can be combined into into a 3D image.

In order to use the app right now you’ll need to sign up as a Windows Insider and then download the Windows 10 Creators Update. Once you’ve completed those two steps, you’ll be able to grab the new Paint 3D app from the Windows Store and get creating. The app is still not finalised, so there may be some small bugs and kinks to work out, but if you’re eager to get started now is your chance.
