There has been an announcement date of April 21, 2017 for the Canon EOS 6D Mark II floating around the web, we have confirmed that this is not accurate. We’re still hearing late Q2 or early Q3 of 2017 for an announcement and ship date.

Yesterday we reported we were pretty sure that the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV would get C-Log via a firmware update that will likely be announced at NAB next month. We can now confirm that to a certainty that it’s coming.
We reported back at the beginning of March that we were going to see new firmware for the EOS 5D Mark IV in the near future, though at that time we didn’t know what might be included in the firmware.
A new cinema lens patent has appeared, this time for a CN-E 60-800mm f/4-5. 6. We expect to see a few lenses announced in early 2017 ahead of NAB in April. We’re told at least one anamorphic lens will be announced.
