Canon released their financials for the fiscal year of 2024, and from an imaging and overall company outlook, Canon looks to be doing strong. All indicators are good. Canon is not doomed. Before we delve into imaging, which is always the hot topic here, there were other things to note that are near and dear [.
This should make the camera world happy. Canon will re-enter the compact camera segment in 2025 with the PowerShot V1. It will be a real compact camera and nothing like the PowerShot V10 that we initially assumed it would be.

I missed this patent. In my defence, I looked at it and went. . meh, Canon doing ANOTHER Ultrawide? At the time, this was before the now likely trinity of f/2. 8’s IS STMs were forming, so I can be forgiven (maybe) for that judgment call.
