The excellent Pixelmator, a powerful image editor for Mac, has been discounted by 50% (US$14. 99, down from its regular price of US$29. 99) in the Mac App Store. Although it certainly isn’t as powerful as Photoshop, Pixelmator will perform many of the core functions of more powerful image editing suites and includes OS X Continuity features such as Handoff and iCloud Sync.

The mobile version, usually US$4. 99, is also discounted to US$1. 99, and allows you to work on your image edits across mobile devices and desktop. This is a rare discount on a solid app, and may not be in place for long. If you’ve been thinking about trying out Pixelmator, this is your chance.
