I absolutely adore my Leica SL2s so much so that even after 5 years or so of abuse, it’s still my main camera that I roll with despite all the cameras that I’ve got coming in and out of the office. But recently, it started to show the effects of the abuse with the autofocus starting to degrade and the hot shoe working intermittently.
Nikon USA has announced the temporarily suspension of all equipment repair services due to the spread of COVID-19. The decision was made in compliance with federal guidelines, and in the interest of protecting employees’ health and safety.
You would not be thought down on if you had forgotten about Leica’s CCD-Gate problem with their M9 family of cameras and the CCD sensors that are housed within them. It has been a long time since all of that business went down, but if you happened to be an M9 owner the issue never truly went away.
