In an interview with Photorend Canon confirmed the R1 is in development. This camera is not coming soon, more likely in 2024 and will compete against the future Sony A1II. The Japanese shop Mapcamera published its ranking of the 10 best-selling cameras in March. I noticed Sony loosing a bit of ground the past months. We really need some new cameras like the Sony A7V, A7sIV and RX1rIII.

Trump has exempted some electronic devices from the new tariffs. But as far as I understand, this does NOT include cameras and lenses. If this is the case, you will soon see price increases for new cameras, lenses and accessories.
