Airports is an ongoing project by photographer Pete Mauney, who spends hours shooting long exposure photos near airports. He then combines the photos to create mesmerizing composites in which the night sky is filled with airplane light trails.
NASA’s ill-fated Apollo 13 million launched 50 years ago this month, and it had to be aborted 56-hours-in after an oxygen tank exploded. Now an imaging guru has created new high-definition views of the mission by stacking low-quality film frames.
Check out this incredible photo of the moon. It may look like it was captured using some ultra-advanced (and expensive) equipment, but it was actually created by astrophotography enthusiast Andrew McCarthy by capturing and combining 50,000 photos.
