Tamron’s 70-180mm f/2. 8 Di III VXD lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras has been a huge hit since it was announced. But buyer beware: the company has released a product advisory after discovering that some lenses suffer from a calibration issue, resulting in poor performance.
After a long, deafening silence, Pentax is finally back on the map. Minutes ago, Ricoh unveiled its first new K-mount lens in some time with the HD Pentax-D FA 70-210mm f/4ED SDM WR: a lightweight do-everything telephoto zoom for Pentax DSLRs.
Tamron recently announced a trio of compact primes for Sony FE: the 24mm f/2. 8, 35mm f/2. 8 and 20mm f/2. 8. We had the chance to test out the 24 and 35mm primes for a few days to see how they performed.
Rumor has it Tamron is about to update a very popular lens. The lens maker’s current 24-70mm f/2. 8 was released over five years ago in 2012, and if the recently updated 70-200mm is any indication, photographers should be very excited about the 24-70mm f/2.
