SIGMA has finally brought another RF mount lens to their lineup. As you know, these new SIGMA RF lenses are for APS-C cameras. The SIGMA 10-18mm F2. 8 DC DN will start shipping on September 26, 2024.
This looks like the only real option for RF-S/APS-C shooters that want a true wide angle lenses for cameras [. . . ]

As we do every release, we’ll take a look at the MTFs of the newest Canon RF 16-28mm f/2. 8 IS STM and see how it measures up to other lenses in Canon’s arsenal to give you a better idea of how the lens will perform in real life.
Canon just announced a new ultra wide angle lens for the RF mount. The Canon RF 16-28mm F2. 8 IS STM is very suited to be paired with the 28-70mm F2. 8 IS STM that Canon delivered last year. It certainly feels as if Canon is making an F2.
Canon has just announced that it has developed a 410MP full-frame sensor. This sensor, like its 250MP predecessor, is a sensor with two variants (color and monochrome) that would also be used in security applications.
We have reported in the past that the APS-C lineup would get addressed in 2025, and that we would see some new segments in the lineup. We feel that Canon’s current APS-C lineup was brought to market with their DSLR lineup in mind, and we didn’t see anything outside of that comfort zone.
