A reader just went me this interesting technical note: If you check the latest Sony paper on XAVC codec released November 2023, they mention the bitrate of 4K 240fps, which so far no camera can do. This could be a hint about next a7s4/FX3II.

This camera was announced in 2021 and the only “improvement” over the A7rIII was the addition of a new, higher-resolution LCD screen (2. 36 million dots). And now it has been officially discontinued according to BHphoto.

There is near zero percent chance that Sony will announce a new Alpha camera or lens. But don’t worry, I am sure something exciting will be announced within 1-2 months.
