Renowned french photographer Réhahn has spent 7 years researching the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. Some of these groups have as little as 300 members while others have up to one million. The artist has already found 49 of them and has opened a free museum with all the traditional costumes in Hoi An (Central Vietnam).
Vietnam is an amazing country with colorful, bustling cities and delicious street food. In March 2017, I’ve travelled this country from the south to the north. From Can Tho to Sapa, looking for interesting street scenes that would’ve fitted into a single frame as pictures, light and people.
I spend hours and hours on a couple of bridges in Hanoi waiting for vendors to pass by to show the beauty, symmetry, and art street vendors create every day without knowing it. Imagine getting up at 4 every morning, packing your bicycle with as many vegetables or fruit as you possibly can and walking around with a heavy cycle for kilometers every day.
