Modern lenses are becoming increasingly sharp, with an impressive ability to suppress flare and aberrations. But, as impressive as the sharpness of modern lenses is, photographers have taken to foggy filters, prisms, and Photoshop to add in character that the drive for optical perfection has dampened.

The company made waves when it was revealed that they were working on a full frame mirrorless system, raising eyebrows because to this point Sony remains the only player in that game besides Leica.
Russian camera manufacturer Zenit has announced the release of four new manual full-frame prime lenses that they first revealed last year: the Zenitar 35mm f/2, 50mm f/1. 5, 58mm f/1. 9, and 60mm f/2.
Russian optics company Shvabe Holding, which is known as the owner of the Zenitar brand, has announced four new mirror lenses: the MC Rubinar 1000mm f/10, 500mm f/8 Macro, 500mm f/5. 6 Macro, and 400mm f/4.
