DroneShield has developed a safe countermeasure to those using UAVs for privacy invasion and industrial espionage. The DroneGun effectively blocks GPS and disables video recording coming from the drone by emitting a jamming signal from up to 1.

2 miles away. Despite being touted as a weapon, the DroneGun is able to safely return the UAV to sender or force a gradual landing without harming civilians on the ground.

• Effective coverage: Allows for an up to 2km coverage, in a wide range of environmental conditions

• Portable: Rifle shape with a backpack, one person operation

• Easy to use: no technical training for set up or use required

• Immediate video cease: immediately ceases video transmission back to the drone operator

• Enables investigation: drone remains intact and available for forensic investigation

The DroneGun is designed for the public and private sector and shows that these companies are willing to invest in technologies to prevent drones from being used to peep on others from the skies.

The DroneGun isn't the first piece of UAV jamming tech to have been created. Last year, US research company Battelle developed a similar UAV beam rifle to defend the airspace without risking collateral damage.
