My Heritage Series That Addresses Trauma

"Heritage" was inspired by my Cuban heritage to connect with my roots; showing how I and my siblings navigate the world. Through florals, textiles, color, and mirrors I had created images that are loaded with symbolism.

The use of mirrors to skew my subject matter is intentional as it gives the viewers an altered perception of what is real and what isn't. .
