Sony caught us by surprise when they announced not one, but two wide-angle lenses this week. Their new FE 12-24mm F4 G may be the 'little brother' to the FE 16-35mm F2. 8 GM, but it also displays great sharpness, and is well-built and impressively lightweight given its spec sheet.

All images are processed through Adobe Camera Raw using a near-final build of that software for the new Sony a9 camera. . Sharpness and noise reduction settings are left to default, the Adobe Standard color profile was used, and minor adjustments were made to white balance, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks. Due to bandwidth constraints, only JPEG images processed using the above settings are available at this time. Raw images will be coming shortly.
