This flower bloom time-lapse took three years and 8TB of raw footage to create

You can pick your favorite symbol of springtime from any number of familiar images. In Seattle, the local favorite is a rain-soaked figure clutching a latte with a cold, dead look in their eyes.

But it's hard to beat the natural beauty and optimism of a blooming flower. That's the imagery that dominates filmmaker Jamie Scott's recent time-lapse titled 'Spring,' a follow-up to his popular video 'Fall' of a couple of years ago.

He gives FStoppers a fascinating look at what it takes to create a time-lapse of this scope. Not surprisingly, a lot of patience and hard drive space were involved. Watch the video, check out the behind-the-scenes and let us know what you think in the comments.
