Sony’s RX0 drew big headlines when it was announced back in August 2017. In short, it’s a tiny camera that boasts a 1-inch stacked CMOS Exmor sensor, generating 15. 3-megapixels. The RX0 also features a BIONZ X processor, a fixed wide-angle 24mm Zeiss T lens and can capture both RAW and JPEG image formats.
The robust camera is good for video too, shooting 4K and 250FPS at Full HD.
The control box allows up to 100 RX0s to be connected together.
Well, Sony has just released an accessory especially for the RX0 that could completely change the way you use this cool camera. The Camera Control Box (model CCB-WD1) allows up to 100 RX0s to be wired up together and controlled with web browser via wired IP (internet protocol) connection.
This opens up huge creative possibilities for photographers to capture incredible images and video.
Small and light, the control box won't take up much room in your kitbag.
For example, setting up and triggering multiple RX0 units will let you capture important sports images from multiple angles so you maximise your chances of capturing that perfect split-second moment. More impressively however, is the ability to connect multiple RX0 cameras to capture ‘bullet-time’ movie effects, where the perspective changes quickly while the subject is barely moving.

A further example of when the Camera Control Box may prove useful is if you are shooting Vlogs and wish to switch between a couple of cameras to give your audience a different view. The RX0 weighs in at just 110g, so packing multiple cameras at one time, shouldn’t weigh you down too much.
The Camera Control Box should start shipping in February.
The Camera Control Box (CCB-WD1) is expected to start shipping in February (2018) and, although Sony haven’t given an exact price-tag, they did say that customers should expect to pay around 750 Euros.
