Recently videos have circulated online that draw attention to the iPhone 7 being a waterproof phone that can survive for hours in water; however, before you take your Apple iPhone 7 for a swim be warned that your mileage may vary.

In the above video, Austin Evans places the iPhone 7 in a bowl of water for 30 seconds and discovers condensation inside the camera lens; in addition to touchscreen issues.

With the headphone jack now removed from Apple’s device, sealing the innards off from water damage is made much easier. That said, the company has been very wise in touting iPhone 7’s water resistant capabilities while also stating that liquid damage is not covered under warranty. Basically the phone can survive an accidental dip in the pool, but it's not recommended.
