We now live in a tricky time. Creativity comes in many forms and approaches, yet for some reason, we are still averse with things like artful nudity. Art has exposed the human body since we've learned to have a more profound appreciation for it, yet today, even implied nudes are sometimes deemed lewd or inappropriate.
In our sensitive times, I feel like arousal has become somewhat of a misconstrued feeling. It's understandable as to why. Decades of the objectification and over-sexualization of women has led to a cultural revolution as women - and men - demand a change.
Nude photography continues to divide opinion. Whilst many view it as art, some see it as an opportunity for photographers to get cheap kicks. And whilst it’s fair to think that some men will only be motivated by the opportunity to see naked women, it's also reasonable to accept the intentions of others will go way beyond that and come from a place of authentic creativity.
Nude photography can be a sensitive subject. Whilst there’s nothing controversial about the human body, the same cannot always be said about a photographer's intentions. For many, their motives are honest and they just want to create.
