The 45mm and 90mm tilt-shift lens have yet to be replaced years after the TS-E 17mm f/4L & TS-E 24mm f/3. 5L II were released. A lot of people, myself included figured we’d be seeing new 45mm and 90mm tilt-shift lenses relatively soon, that obviously hasn’t been the case. canonrumors.com »

Thanks to improvements in sensor design, iPhone and Android smartphones are gaining traction with enthusiast and professional creators. However, one area that has lagged behind developments in imaging sensors is image stabilization.
This patent application (Japan 2023-125903) has a lot of esoteric fast zoom lenses in some very nontraditional focal lengths. Many of the embodiments are missing the image height, however since we also have the half angle of view, we can work backward to verify if these lenses are meant for full frame or for APS-C.
Canon has filed a patent in Japan that shows what appears to be a compact built-in teleconverter that relies upon external controls and internal actuators to provide photographers with quick access to various focal lengths. [Read More]
In this Japan Patent Application, JP 2023-118490, Canon is investigating creating smaller built in teleconverters for use in lenses that we would normally not expect to see a teleconverter installed in.
