One of my best contacts was at the 50mm f/1. 4 GM launch event organized by Sony. He asked the Sony manager when he can hope to get the rumored 85mm f/1. 2. The manager answered it’s coming within the next 3 months.

Cinema5D interviewed a Fuji manager whom confirmed that the next generation 44x33mm Sony sensor will likely have 100+ Megapixel and 4K video recording support. This camera was announced in 2021 and the only “improvement” over the A7rIII was the addition of a new, higher-resolution LCD screen (2. 36 million dots). And now it has been officially discontinued according to BHphoto.
I never saw them before…but a company named Jintu is selling a bunch of super cheap and manual focusing E-mount lenses on this Amazon Page (click here). The list includes this super weird 420-800mm f/8.
There is near zero percent chance that Sony will announce a new Alpha camera or lens. But don’t worry, I am sure something exciting will be announced within 1-2 months.
