Inevitably there will be lots of broken promises from both political parties after Trump’s victory, but this won’t be one of them. Back in October before the election, ScanMyPhotos’ owner Mitch Goldstone made a public offer to “digitalize the nation’s photos” if Trump won the election.

He wrote that he had previously been a fan, and that Trump had been his business “hero” in the 90’s with the publication of the “The Art of the Deal”, although subsequent revelations by the ghostwriter of the book helped him change his mind.

The site’s services would normally cost US$14. 95 for the shipping and handling costs, but his company will now fulfil orders for free. ScanMyPhotos will scan up to 500 4x6-inch prints per family address until December 9th. People can still troll the company by submitting 500 images of Trump, however the photos have to be submitted in a single box, and have to comply with the company’s guidelines.

Goldstone accompanied this promise by stating, “During the campaign, we made a wager and shared the views of many tech companies, but we lost. However, integrity, credibility, commitment, and keeping our promise matters most. That’s been the cornerstone of and the reason why we have been in business for 26-years. ”

ScanMyPhotos. com has digitalised over 300 million photos, and while this is a generous move from Goldstone, it probably won’t hurt his business too much. And if you are quick to act and have some great archival frames that you want preserved, head over to their website for more information.
