Sony's software engineers might have some sleep to catch up on, as eight Sony cameras have received incremental firmware updates to smooth out the stability of the cameras. Specifically, Sony has released firmware updates for its a9 (version 5.

01), a7R III (version 3. 01), a7 III (version 3. 01), a7R II (version 4. 01), a7S II (version 3. 01), a7 II (version 4. 01), a6500 (version 1. 06) and a99 II cameras (version 1. 01). Sony doesn't elaborate on what exactly has been fixed, other than to say the updates '[improve] the overall stability of the camera[s]. '
