My name is Adrian Murray. I’m a dad who has been creating images with my kids and their bears for about four years now (amongst other kinds of photos). It started with my oldest son producing an image that looked as though he was talking to a bear.
I have been taking pictures of pet rats for years hoping to break the negative image that is often associated with these lovely animals. Here are some of these photographs, both of my rats and of my friends' rats and, as you may see, they are far from being dirty nasty little monsters! They are actually highly intelligent social beings that love interacting with each other and their favorite humans.
What started as a fun $20 craft project turned into a way for me to cope with postpartum depression and bond with my daughter. I am NOT a professional seamstress, but I was inspired by my mother to hand sew costumes each month because of an Ariel costume she made for me when I was little.
