On 6th November 2018, a classic fall wind storm ripped through the province of Ontario, Canada. With winds forecast to be sustained at 65 km/hr, I knew that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture some new wave images! What started as a fun $20 craft project turned into a way for me to cope with postpartum depression and bond with my daughter. I am NOT a professional seamstress, but I was inspired by my mother to hand sew costumes each month because of an Ariel costume she made for me when I was little.
I have been taking pictures of pet rats for years hoping to break the negative image that is often associated with these lovely animals. Here are some of these photographs, both of my rats and of my friends' rats and, as you may see, they are far from being dirty nasty little monsters! They are actually highly intelligent social beings that love interacting with each other and their favorite humans.
