There is a lot of excitement going on in the photo industry, thanks to Zeiss's return. We have already mentioned that Zeiss is likely to launch its Otus lenses for the mirrorless market, and it has been confirmed that the launch will take place on February 25.
Zeiss posted a teaser on Instagram yesterday showing an image taken with a Zeiss 85mm F1. 4 lens. While that is not that newsworthy on their own, they certainly did tease that Zeiss was coming out with something soon.
It's true: DSLRs are back. These are the cameras that I once swore off because of their lack of adaptability to being low-vision. But others swore them off for being too large, heavy, and not able to keep up with the technological needs required these days.
We've updated our Nikon Zf review from its original format in which we first published it. It now includes some of the changes that have come to the camera via firmware updates -- and it's not the same camera that I remember it being.
These lenses are arguably some of the best Zeiss has ever made and are still affordable by mere mortals. Sadly, they aren't available yet for the RF mount, but essentially, with an RF to EF converter, these lenses would be as good as a native RF version.
