"Nationalism in itself is intimately linked to gender and sexuality," says photographer and cultural analyst Katerina Vo about the idea behind her photo series 'Fatherland. ' It delves deep into the interwoven relationships between her father and her homeland, the USA.
I took these photos on a trip from the California coast to Arizona. A few are from the official museum; others show the economic downturn of once-thriving spots along this historic highway. I went to New York to experience Halloween in the US and made some other street photos while I was there.
I'm happy to share with you some of the pictures I took in beautiful Arizona. You should absolutely consider coming here and visit some places which I call bucket list. That includes the magical Grand Canyon, the Horseshoe bend, the Antelope Canyon, Havasupai, the desert and more.
