In the biggest shakeup to the platform since it was announced, Affinity Photo (the award-winning photo editing suite), has made its way to Windows and added a bunch of new features. Affinity Photo 1.
5, considered by many to be Photoshop’s strongest competitor, now offers macros, batch processing and HDR merging, among other new features.
All of these simply bring Affinity up to par with Photoshop, but many of the tools on display in the new version of Affinity seem to work much more intuitively than Adobe’s offerings. A new focus stacking feature, for example, is extremely easy to implement, whereas the feature in Photoshop can be quite tricky.
Affinity 1. 5 also includes support for 360-degree photos, PSD write-back, 32-bit editing and automatic lens corrections.
Down from its regular price of US$50, Affinity Photo is available now on both Windows and Mac for US$40 to celebrate the launch of version 1. 5. The sale will end on December 22nd, 2016
