Laowa has announced two new tilt-shift macro lenses. The 55mm f/2. 8 Tilt-Shift 1X and 100mm f/2. 8 Tilt-Shift 1X. Both are 1:1 macro lenses. Both are capable of a 10 degree tilft and a 12mm shift.

We have been told that Canon will announce at least three new lenses ahead of the CP+ Photo & Imaging Show in Yokohama, Japan which takes place between February 22 – February 25, 2024. We were not told what lenses to expect, but that a niche part of the market would be addressed.
When we were first discussing the series of patent applications on motorized tilt-shift lenses for the RF mount, one of my musings was the ability to use this to automate stitching and various shooting at different shifts and tilts.
We recently discussed the patent here that talked about a motorized tilt-shift lens. It was my imagination that Canon could expand the functionality far beyond simply lens control. Well, it turns out the smart minds at Canon thought the same.
