The compact market is still a thing. Considering what we've seen happen in Japan and other parts of Asia with compact cameras, this perhaps doesn't surprise me as much as it would have around 1 or 2 years ago.
Partially stacked sensor seems like an odd term for this, but then again, I'm not Nikon Marketing. I'd love to see this layout as it claims there are circuits ABOVE the photodiodes, something that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense for efficiency.
