One of the coolest trends in photography right now is 360° imagery. There are a number of dedicated 360 products on the market but, at present, these all carry a relatively high price tag and maybe aren’t suitable for photographers who wish to test the 360 waters.
Enter the PanoClip, which is an ingenious gadget that turn your iPhone into a 360-camera. If this doesn’t already sound amazing enough, then check this out - it costs just 50 dollars. Needless to say, that's incredibly affordable for a device that help you achieve 360 photos.
The PanoClip comes in three different sizes, making it compatible with the iPhone 7/ Plus, iPhone 8/Plus and the iPhone X. A single size fits both iPhone 7 and 8, and another size fits both iPhone 7 Plus and 8 Plus so make sure you check before ordering.
The lens unit simply fits over the top of the smartphone and the PanoClip operates by using the iPhone’s camera in combination with a free App. The camera takes two images sequentially, stitching them into a single 360° image. Equally cool is the fact that these images can then be turned into ‘Little Planets’ generating some very cool imagery.
The 360° photos that are created with the PanoClip can then be uploaded to a choice of social media sites, such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. There’s also an option to add filters to your imagery and, for the less-serious photographers, a number of stickers can also be added to your creations. You can watch a movie about the PanoClip below. . .
