Venus Optics has announced its Laowa 15mm F4. 5 Zero-D Shift lens is now available for Leica L and Pentax K mount camera systems. $(document). ready(function() { SampleGalleryV2({"containerId":"embeddedSampleGallery_1912504615","galleryId":"1912504615","isEmbeddedWidget":true,"selectedImageIndex":0,"isMobile":false}) }); The lens was first announced in October 2020 with models for Canon EF, Canon RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z and Sony E mount camera systems.
As it was at the time of release, this lens is the widest shift lens for full-frame cameras. It’s missing the tilt option lenses other manufacturers offer in their lenses, but Laowa says it doesn’t offer tilt for this model due to it being mainly for architectural photographers, who typically don’t need the tilt functionality.

You can read more about the lens and see more sample photos in our first impression review and see what DPReview TV’s Chris and Jordan had to say about the lens in their video review:
As a refresher, the lens is constrcuted of 17 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical elements. It can shift +/- 11mm on full-frame camera systems and +/- 8mm when adapted for use on medium format camera systems, such as Fujifilm’s GFX and Hasselblad’s X1D cameras. Other features include a five-blade aperture, a 20cm (7. 8”) minimum focusing distance and a 360-degree rotation function with clicks every 15 degrees. Venus Optics also has a unique lens support that will keep the front of the lens locked to a tripod so the lens’ optical axis stays put while making any adjustments.
The new Leica L mount and Pentax K mount models are available now on Venus Optics’ website for the same $1,199 price tag as the other full-frame options.
