The Canon 35mm F2 IS USM is Canon's 'affordable' full-frame 35mm lens option slotting below the 35mm F1. 4L II. We have finally confirmed that the Canon RF 35mm f/1. 2L USM is indeed coming in the first half of 2024. There have been some false positives over the years, but we're as sure about this as we are about anything.
The Canon RF 35mm f/1. 2L USM has been on our roadmap since the roadmap began many years ago. Might we finally be getting closer to the lens finally appearing? The patent definitely shows a full-frame optical formula, but the back focus is ridiculously short.
