The new iPhone X is dust and water resistant!
So, the iPhone X has not one, but two 12-megapixel cameras on the rear of the phone. One of these cameras is wide-angle and the other is telephoto, covering users whatever the subject they wish to capture. Both cameras benefit from dual optical image stabilisation technology and the lenses have maximum apertures of f/1. 8 and f/2. 4. Image quality is set for a boost as the sensor features deeper pixels and a new colour filter.

The cameras are powered by the new A11 Bionic chip, which is a step up from the iPhone 7’s A10 and the iPad Pro’s A10X chips. What’s really grabbing the headlines though is the addition of a TrueDepth system on the iPhone X’s main camera, made up of a dot projector, infrared camera and flood illuminator. To make sure you can take full advantage of all these cool imaging features, the iPhone X’s battery has been upgraded to last longer than the previous iPhone 7 models - in fact, it should last two hours more than the iPhone 7. Lastly, a Portrait Lighting mode aims to deliver better image quality when capturing people pictures and enables photographers to mimic studio effects such as pro lighting set-ups. Apple say that these aren't filters, instead the camera studies the image before adding the enhanced lighting. Talking of lighting, the iPhone X also includes slow sync flash and the original Portrait mode works on both the front and rear cameras.
Facial recognition adds an extra level of security to keep images safe.
