The more glass pieces a lens has, the harder it is to move all those elements quickly. The Nikon Z 100-400mm f4. 5-5. 6 VR S doubles up on autofocus motors in order to quickly move its 25 different elements to bring the subject into focus.

Having a separate camera for photos and videos is one of my generation's “uphill both ways” moments. Photo and video are now so ingrained into one device that it’s getting difficult to remember the days of carting along a separate camcorder.
Your phone is incredibly capable as an overall device. But the camera just won't replace what a dedicated device can do for you. We're all very aware that zoom lenses are one of the biggest and best reasons to get a dedicated camera.
Tamron Co. , Ltd. of Japan has just announced the development of their first Nikon Z mount AF lens, the Tamron 70-300mm F/4. 5-6. 3 Di III RXD. Nikon Z owners are sure to love this, as it's Tamron's first autofocus lens for Z mount cameras.
I always look forward to shooting with the Fujifilm GFX system and barely having to edit. The lack of fast lenses is why I have not switched over yet. The company is still creating a roadmap of lenses to reach its full potential.
Kit lenses are affordable ways to get started, but limited in their versatility. The new Tamron 18-300mm f3. 5-6. 3 Di III, however, feels like a kit lens on steroids. It has some of the same downfalls, but reaches much farther, shoots much closer, and doesn’t cost or weigh too much.
The 24-70mm f2. 8 lens is a workhorse lens -- but it’s a bit of a Clydesdale. The zoom mixed with the bright aperture tends to create a heavy lens that’s difficult to carry around all day. That’s why Sigma (gasp!) shaved four mm off the traditional workhorse wide-to-mid to craft the Sigma 28-70mm f2.
