In the past few years, we have witnessed the beginning of the end for the DSLR. CIPA reports have shown a toward-facing trend in the past, with this segment seeing a 20% decline. While people debate that the DSLR reign will continue, despite the odds, we must face the harsh truth: nobody is ready to revive them.
There's nothing wrong with saving money on EF glass, the EF to RF adapter with third-party lenses works just fine. There is still inventory of some high performance SIGMA lenses for the EF mount and today B&H Photo has the Sigma EF 28mm f/1.
Canon has been known to not work with third-party lens makers. But this year, that changed. With Sigma, Canon has opened a new pathway for their APS-C cameras to get more lenses. There have been rumors that Sigma will launch a bunch of new lenses, and now Sigma Global has announced the dates for the same, as well as the focal lengths.

Last week, a report came out of Japan suggesting that Sigma was no longer producing lens filters, including its UV protective and circular polarizing filters. Sigma tells PetaPixel that this report is false and that the company still makes filters. [Read More]
