Lightroom for Android Can Now Edit RAWs From Any Camera

Lightroom for Android has always been an excellent app for mobile editing, but it just got a little bit more powerful, supporting all RAW file types, including . orf, . raw, . rw2, . cr2, and . nef.

This mean you’ll be able to edit images from pretty much any camera on the go. The iOS version of the app has had extensive RAW support for a while, but this update now provides full support for all the RAW file formats that the desktop app can handle.

Version 2. 2 of the Lightroom mobile app allows you to connect your camera directly to your Android device with a USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable to transfer RAW files, and Lightroom will sync your changes across devices seamlessly. The app also highlights RAW images to make it easier to grab the right file. With RAW shooting now becoming more common on mobile devices, more photographer will now be able to shoot and edit RAW without needing a desktop setup.

For a list of supported cameras, see the Adobe site here. Lightroom is currently free to download on the Google Play Store.
