Canon’s weakest spot compared to Sony is the fact that they have “closed” their mount not allowing third party manufacturers to easily make lenses with full electronic support. I never saw them before…but a company named Jintu is selling a bunch of super cheap and manual focusing E-mount lenses on this Amazon Page (click here). The list includes this super weird 420-800mm f/8.
There is near zero percent chance that Sony will announce a new Alpha camera or lens. But don’t worry, I am sure something exciting will be announced within 1-2 months. Probably a new camera (A7v?) and certainly at least one new lens! More about that on SAR soon…stay tuned!
