Cosina has announced the details of its new Voigtlander Heliar 40mm F2. 8 Aspherical lens for Leica VM and Leica screw mount thread (L39) camera systems. The compact manual prime is constructed of five elements in three groups, including a single aspherical element in the middle.
The lens uses a ten-blade aperture diaphragm, offers an aperture range of F2. 8 through F22, has a minimum focusing distance of 70cm (27. 5”), uses a 34mm front filter thread and offers a 57-degree field of view on full-frame camera systems.
