A lens adapter can truly be helpful for those who wish to utilize different lenses in their kit. For instance, some may prefer using vintage lenses, while others may want to stick to DSLR lenses on mirrorless bodies.
Viltrox has been steadily climbing the ranks of 3rd party lens manufacturers lately. One of the reasons for their success is their willingness to come up with unique lenses, not just copying focal lengths and ranges in lenses that mainstream brands already have.
When Nikon announced its first full-frame mirrorless cameras back in 2018, their DSLR users were very happy to know that they could continue to use their F-mount lenses on the Z cameras. This, of course, would be achieved through the use of their proprietary FTZ adapter, which allowed such lenses to be mounted onto the Z line of mirrorless bodies.
