At NAB 2022, Aputure announced new video production LED lighting products. Aputure announced the LS 600c Pro full-color lamp, the MT Pro tube light and the MC Pro. Each new product offers full RGB lighting options, perfect for a wide range of video applications.
Starting with the Aputure LS 600c Pro, it's the latest model in the Light Storm (LS) 600 series, Aputure's second-most powerful point-source LED lights. Aputure's previous two LS 600 models came in daylight (5600K) and bi-color (2700K-6500K) flavors. The new LS 600c Pro delivers full-color output thanks to an RGBWW LED chipset. The 600W light has an industry-standard Bowens mount, making it compatible with a wide range of accessories and light modifiers, including the LS 600 series hyper reflector that ships with the new LS600c Pro. This lets you concentrate the light for 4,150 lux output at 3 meters.
Aputure says that its new light can achieve SSI (daylight 5600K) of 74 and SSI (Tungsten) of 85. SSI stands for Spectral Similarity Index, and it's a standard for measuring the spectral accuracy of lights. The RGB light can reproduce more than 90% of the colors within the Rec. 2020 color space. The light has 10 user-programmable presets and includes multiple ways to control color, including XY, RGB, source and gel presets and advanced HSL with white point adjustments.
The Aputure LS 600c Pro will begin shipping later this year for $2,490.
The Aputure MT RGB Tube Light is aimed at high-end video production and for use by content creators. It's a 1' tube, and according to Aputure's Ted Sim, it's the brightest LED tube light on the market with the highest resolution pixel mapping, and the fastest effects refresh rate. It can also dim lower than competing tube lights without visible LED pixels, thanks to higher pixel density. The tube matches the color chips found in the LS 600c Pro. Aputure's Sidus Link application controls the weather-proof tube light and has built-in wireless DMX. It offers just over 100 minutes of power via a built-in battery.
As for usability, the MT has integrated magnets so that you can attach the light directly to metal surfaces. It comes with a 45-degree soft honeycomb grid and a mini tripod with a ball head. Aputure claims 597+ lux output at 0. 5m. The release date and pricing have not been announced.
Rounding out Aputure's busy NAB 2022 is the new MC Pro. It's the world's smallest pocket-sized LED light with full RGB. The MC Pro weighs only 225g and is 108 x 70 x 25mm (4. 25 x 2. 76 x 0. 98"). It's magnetic and charges wirelessly, offering ease of use. Compared to the original MC, launched in 2019, the MC Pro delivers 40% brighter output, a narrower beam angle of 45 degrees, and an expanded color temperature range. The MC Pro now offers color temperatures from 2,000 to 10,000 Kelvin. The light uses the same RGBWW technology as in the new LS 600c Pro light. The MC Pro is fully RGB tunable and can produce over a billion colors. Like the original MC and the MT RGB Tube Light, the MC Pro is compatible with Sidus Link and can be controlled wirelessly.
Like with the new tube light, there's no release date or pricing information available for the MC Pro yet.
