Apple showed off some beautiful sample images from the iPhone 7 during its announcement a couple of weeks ago, but made it difficult for customers or press to get their hands on them. It looked as though the images might never be released to the public, and then an enterprising Apple customer went the direct route and paid a visit to his local store.
While there, he simply connected his personal iPhone to a store phone using AirDrop and lifted the images right then and there. So simple, it’s pretty astonishing that no one had thought of it sooner. From there, this enterprising hero (known on Reddit as quitethewaysaway) published the entire set of images on Imgur. Anyone can now access them and pick them apart as they see fit.
Apple has yet to comment on the incident, but assuming that they didn’t intend for the images to end up online, it seems likely they may beef up their security measures next time around. For now, though, you can view the entire gallery of 195 images here or download the originals from Dropbox.
