While NiSi has been known as a filter manufacturer for quite some time; the 15mm F4 is the first lens the company has released, and it looks to be a good one.
Our gallery shows that this lens is capable of outstanding sharpness across the frame, and exhibits little in the way of distortion or unwanted aberrations. It's fairly resistant to flare, and produces its namesake 10-pointed sunstars.
Handling-wise, it conveys a feel of real quality. The lens is all metal, as is the hood. The focus ring has a fairly short throw (that's just fine on an ultra-wide) and is nicely damped. The aperture ring has slight detents at full stops, but moves smoothly between them.
Check out our gallery to see for yourself what this lens can do. It's available right now at $579 USD at NiSi's online shop and other select retailers.
